We carry out residential structural survey and commercial surveys in Attleborough. Attleborough is a town which is situated in Norfolk.
Attleborough is a market town located on the A11and is a place our Independent Chartered Surveyors frequently visit to carry out Residential Building Surveys and Commercial Surveys in the form of Schedules of Condition and Property Reports.
Attleborough is ideally situated to visit many of the attractions that south Norfolk and the Brecklands have to offer. If you travel fifteen miles up the A11 you will reach the Cathedral City of Norwich and fifteen miles down the A11 brings you to Thetford.
When entering Attleborough you will see its colourful town sign depicting the black turkeys and cider making that the town is historically famous for. When our Chartered Surveyors were in town to carry out Building Surveys we were told that the turkeys used to have their feet dipped in tar to enable them to withstand the long walk to the London markets. Cider making was one of the towns biggest industries up until the 1990's when production was relocated.
Attleborough has its own Sainsburys Supermarket and a main Post Office. There are many other smaller shops and take away food outlets and there is also a Thursday market that has been held in town since 1226.
Our Chartered Surveyors enjoyed seeing places of interest in the area including St Mary's Church built in Saxon times with a Norman tower added at a later date.
For a whole day out and just five miles away from the town is Banham Zoo. The zoo has over 1000 animals from all around the world.
Attleborough has some fantastic restaurants and pubs to try whilst in town. Amongst our favourites are the Mulberry Tree Restaurant (with its posh B&B) and the Breckland Lodge on the London Road . For a lovely pub lunch the Griffin Hotel, originally opened as an inn in 1560, is worth a visit and also the White Lodge which again dates back to the 1500's. After a busy day carrying out various types of building surveys in Attleborough and the surrounding villages of Besthorpe, Old Buckenham and Rockland St Peter our Chartered Surveyors have often enjoyed a visit to these establishments.
If you are planning to book a building survey on a property you are purchasing in the Attleborough Area or the surrounding area then we would like to assure you that we always send a suitably qualified and experienced surveyor to carry out the job. This ensures that you get expert advice on any issues that we may find with the property we are surveying. All our surveyors are members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors - RICS - and are Independent Chartered Building Surveyors. Being 'independent' means that they are working for you and you alone; they do not work for a mortgage company or an estate agents, so they have your best interests at heart.
All our survey contain lots of images, clearly showing any problems that we have identified at the property such as woodworm, rising damp or cracking to the walls. We also use sketches in our survey which are aimed at helping you to understand how certain areas are constructed or to help show more clearly a problem that we have identified. You will also find lots of definitions of any building terminology that we may use in our survey, as we firmly believe in 'Plain English' and really want you to fully understand what we are saying in the survey report.
