Barton-Le-Clay is a village in south Bedfordshire situated between Luton and Bedford. Barton-Le-Clay has existed since at least 1066 and is mentioned in the Domesday Book.
To the south-east of Barton are the Barton Hills, which are part of the Chiltern Hills. There is a natural spring running from the foot of the hill; this area is known as Barton Springs and is a lovely place for walks in the woods or up the hill. The spring marks the start of a chalk stream river.
During the summer there are wild ponies wandering the hills. Barton Hills are part of the Chilterns.
