Information on Burton Latimer

The town of Burton Latimer is to the north east of the county of Northamptonshire reached from Wellingborough heading north east on the A510 then joining the A6 entering the village leaving at Higham Rd to the south or Wold Rd to its centre or Cranford Rd to the north. Burtan Latimer is an old town with archaeologists finding artefacts dating back to the late Iron Age and early Roman Era and in particular a find of a collection of third century Roman coins, pottery and tiles in the south east of the town in Cornfield Way and Hollands Drive . The town was once an area for lace making and weaving together with farming but later developed with ironstone, limestone and clay quarrying but today with these gone it has several large companies manufacturing and distributing based at the north end of Burton Latimer. There are some beautiful old buildings which are a delight to view as Surveyors including a Jacobean thatched house in Church St which was once the school house, Manor House, also in Church St and thatched circa 1704 and Burton Latimer Hall in Kettering Rd to the north of the town in charming light coloured stone with striking gardens.

Building Survey Burton Latimer

If you are planning to book a building survey on a property you are purchasing in Burton Latimer or the surrounding area then we would like to assure you that we always send a suitably qualified and experienced surveyor to carry out the job. This ensures that you get expert advice on any issues that we may find with the property we are surveying. All our surveyors are members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors - RICS - and are IndependentBuilding Surveyors. Being 'independent' means that they are working for you and you alone; they do not work for a mortgage company or an estate agents, so they have your best interests at heart.

All our survey contain lots of images, clearly showing any problems that we have identified at the property such as woodworm, rising damp or cracking to the walls. We also use sketches in our survey which are aimed at helping you to understand how certain areas are constructed or to help show more clearly a problem that we have identified. You will also find lots of definitions of any building terminology that we may use in our survey, as we firmly believe in 'Plain English' and really want you to fully understand what we are saying in the survey report.
