We carry out residential structural surveys and commercial surveys in Bushey. Bushey is a mainly residential town and is a very nice situation being separated from more industrialised areas by countryside in the form of farmland, golf courses and commons.

Historically Bushey has an interesting past. At the beginning of the 19th century Bushey, with its rather attractive hilltop situation, was the home of Dr Thomas Monro, a supporter of the arts, who encouraged artists to the area where they were able to gain inspiration from the mainly rural landscape. Bushey, being within fairly close proximity to London , became a place of escape for this rather bohemian set well into the Victorian era. Bushey, to this day, has retained its links with the arts and Bushey Museum has exhibits of work by famous local artists over the years and looks at the social history of Bushey and the fact that more than a thousand artists have worked in the area since 1800.

Today the area near the pond and The Church of St James has been designated a Conservation Area and there are properties here dating back to the 1700s and a few before this. There are a combination of shops in the centre including general stores, antique shops, pubs and restaurants.

The Church of St James has a large and very beautiful churchyard, with a good range of plants and shrubs, which is thought to be the biggest churchyard in South England .

We carry out residential building surveys and commercial surveys in Bushey and the surrounding areas, for example in Caldecote, Bushey Heath, Stanmore, Aldenham, Hatch End, Harrow Weald, Elstree, Stone Grove, Watford, Northwood, Radliett, Garston, Harrow, Pinner and Borehamwood.

Our surveyors are not timed or targeted to do as many surveys in one day or in a week as they can in Bushey. They are all Independent Chartered Surveyors and are able to take as much time as the survey requires to do a professional job. The surveyor needs time to understand the building he is surveying and to fully examine the property for potential problems, such as rising damp or lateral or penetrating dampness. We can also help with a Quick Sale as our surveyors are also available to speak to you either at the property and / or on the telephone after the survey to talk through their findings, enabling you to make the all important decision as to whether the property is for you.
