We carry out residential structural survey and commercial survey in Deal. Deal is a town which is situated in Kent.
In between Dover to the south and Sandwich to the north is the seaside town of Deal, with The Royal Cinque Ports Golf Club to the north and the delightful villages of Sholden, Ripple, Ringwould and Kingsdown surrounding this historic town. The town boasts three Tudor castles although Sandown has only a few stones remaining, Henry VIII built Deal and Walmer castles between 1539-1542 due to threat of invasion by France and Spain which are spectacular and although not as big as Dover castle when seen from above resemble the Tudor rose in shape and have thick rounded walls built to defend against cannon fire. The Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports has their official residence at Walmer Castle with past Lord Wardens including the Duke of Wellington (his boots are on show in the castle), Winston Churchill and the Queen Mother. The town once had a Marine Barracks established in 1665 which was bombed in 1989 by the IRA killing eleven Marines and was later decommissioned in the late 1990s and today has buildings converted into apartments. As Surveyors we have carried out numerous structural building surveys in the town and surrounding villages and particularly like this town with its wealth of Georgian buildings and promenade with views, on a clear day, across the English Channel to France.
Deal has a mixture of residential properties from the small ex-mining cottages to larger detached houses in roads such as Lower Mill Lane, Dover Road and Granville Road.
Deal and Walmer
If you are interested in historic castles then both Deal and Walmer have
Castles built during King Henry VIII's reign. The castles are not as large as Dover but stand proud on the seafronts and are well worth a visit.
Deal and Walmer are quieter places to take a break and have a number of hotels along the coastline to take in the amazing views across the Channel.
If you are planning to book a building survey on a property you are purchasing in Deal or the surrounding area then we would like to assure you that we always send a suitably qualified and experienced surveyor to carry out the job. This ensures that you get expert advice on any issues that we may find with the property we are surveying. All our survey contain lots of images, clearly showing any problems that we have identified at the property such as woodworm, rising damp or cracking to the walls. We also use sketches in our survey which are aimed at helping you to understand how certain areas are constructed or to help show more clearly a problem that we have identified. You will also find lots of definitions of any building terminology that we may use in our survey, as we firmly believe in 'Plain English' and really want you to fully understand what we are saying in the survey report.
