Fleetwood is a popular holiday resort and has been such since it was founded just over 150 years ago. Our chartered surveyors are often found in town carrying our building surveys both residential and commercial

The town is located at the mouth of the river Wyre on the shore of Morecambe bay and was notable for its fishing and seafood industry at one time although this has declined in more recent years. The seafront itself has recently been redeveloped and is a visitor attraction drawing thousands of tourists each year. Most come to see the towns' three lighthouses, two of which still function today. As chartered structural engineers we were interested to see the third, Wyre Light, as it was the first of its kind to be built and lit in Britain. Sadly it has fallen into disrepair which is sad as it is an important part of Victorian engineering.

Amongst Fleetwood's attractions are a Marina and Yacht Club and model yacht lake where annual championships take place.

Fleetwood Museum offers visitors a chance to see the maritime history of this town whilst the Seafront Leisure Centre offers a wide variety of activity sports.
