Hanger Hill Park


Hanger Hill Park is a sloped grassland area which has flowered areas and shrubs and ancient oak trees. There is an area of undulating ground next to Hanger Lane which is believed to have been an air-raid shelter during World War II. There are natural springs and native oak trees in the park and also a children's' play area.

Hanger Hill Wood

Hanger Hill Wood gets its name from the Old English word 'Hangra', meaning a wooded slope. The area has a variety of woodland plants which include large oak trees and beech trees.

Fox Wood

Fox Wood is a wonderful place to see wild flowers, animals and birds. It is one of the few remaining woodland areas in Ealing and has ancient woodland species at the northern end of the area. It became a Local Nature Reserve in 1991, Fox Wood is situated on the banks of an old reservoir, which was drained down during World War II to stop it being used as a navigational aid for enemy aircraft.
