We carry out residential structural survey and commercial survey in Royal Tunbridge Wells. Royal Tunbridge Wells is a town which is situated in Kent.
The town of Royal Tunbridge Wells is near the M26 and M25 and just off the A26 and A264, and is surrounded by the villages of Southborough to the north, Pembury to the east, Hawkenbury to the south and Rusthall to the west.
Tunbridge Wells is a beautiful Spa town with many of the old Georgian properties still remaining which we have carried out surveys on over the years. Like many Spa towns popularity was affected by new vogue said to be very healthy for you - sea bathing, other nearby Spa towns were Brighton and Bath, Tunbridge Wells being more of a winter resort, having said that Victorians had a big influence on the architecture in the area and over the years we have surveyed all types of property.
The Pantiles is an interesting boutique and antique shopping area with bars and restaurants with an European, it did throw us when we first heard about it, Pantiles to us are a curved ‘S' shaped roofing tile as found in Norfolk and Suffolk areas being transported over from the lowlands such as Holland - The Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells are something quite different).
There are many historic buildings in the town including The Calverley Hotel in Crescent Road which is a sandstone mansion and today the Hotel du Vin and Bistro. In the past the building was called Calverley House and was built in 1762 with enlargements by architect Decimus Burton in 1840 when it became a hotel. The building overlooks Calverley Park where back in the 1840s there were twenty four large houses situated, many of which have since been demolished, and would have been much sought after palatial residences .
The town has an abundance of shops from the antique shops and specialist small boutiques in The Pantiles to the Great Hall Shopping Arcade in Mount Pleasant Road with its many High Street stores to the Farmers' Markets that take place in the town regularly.
Whilst in the area carrying out residential and commercial building surveys we note that the surrounding areas such as Frant, Bidborough, Langton Green and Eridge are very sought after with impressive substantial residences. Within the town roads such as Pembury Road , Navill Park and Queens Road all have larger detached residences which are striking and very desirable.

All our survey contain lots of images, clearly showing any problems that we have identified at the property such as woodworm, rising damp or cracking to the walls. We also use sketches in our survey which are aimed at helping you to understand how certain areas are constructed or to help show more clearly a problem that we have identified.
