Independent Chartered Surveyors - Sawston

Here at 1stAssociated our Chartered Building Surveyors believe that our clients come first. We are independent and therefore can tailor our surveys to suit our client's requirements in Sawston. Residential building surveys and commercial surveys are our bread and butter and we spend as long as we need at each survey to make sure that we produce a survey that is detailed and accurate. With commercial building surveys we work for either Landlords or Tenants and produce Property Reports and Schedules of Condition for clients taking on Leases of commercial buildings and we can also work for Landlords by producing Schedules of Dilapidations.

If you have noticed a problem with the structure of a property you own such as cracking or dampness as building surveyors we can offer specialised reports for these types of issues as well as advising on improvements you may wish to make to a property in Sawston. Call us for property help and advice on 0800 298 5424.

We use lots of definitions in our surveys to help you understand the issues. We don't use terminology that is hard to understand and leaves you wondering exactly what you are being told; if we use a technical term in our building survey or a building term then we will explain what this term means. We aim for our surveys to be easy to read and understand. If there is anything in the survey that you want explained in more detail then we are happy to speak to you as many times as you want either at the property after the survey or on the telephone. We want our building surveys to meet your requirements.

Sawston

We carry out residential structural surveys and commercial surveys in Sawston. Sawston is a town which is situated in Cambridgeshire.

Situated on the River Cam Sawston is the largest village in Cambridgeshire. Evidence of a settlement here date back some 5000 years to the Bronze Age. We dont expect to survey any bronze age dwellings, but we are always keen to carry out building surveys on Listed Buildings, as this is a particlar interest of one of our surveyors.

From the north of the village you can view Wandlebury Hill in the Gog Magog Downs. These chalk hills run for many miles to the south-east of Cambridge .

We include sketches in our building surveys to show you in a bit more detail what certain things look like, for example we will put in a sketch showing how the roof structure is constructed i.e. a hand cut roof, an A' frame roof, a pre-fabricated etc; we also put in sketches showing rising and lateral and penetrating dampness. Other sketches show you the type of brickwork you property has, for example Flemish bond, cavity bond, English bond etc. Sketches show you issues, problems or elements of the property in more detail to aid your understanding of the property you are buying.
