We carry out residential structural survey and commercial survey in Sheerness. Sheerness is a town which is situated in Kent.
Sheerness is near the B2008 and just off the A250 and A249, it is surrounded by the villages of Minster to the east, Elmley to the south, Queenborough to the west and on the northest corner of the Isle of Sheppey.
Sheerness Golf Club was formed in1909 and is an 18 hole course with brilliant facilities and fantastic views. The course was developed with challenging holes with dykes and other water features it is a demanding course particularly if strong coastal winds prevail.
In the past the town of Sheerness grow due to its position close to the Chatham naval docklands as a fort to stop enemy vessels entering the River Medway. The town grew developing its own docklands with workers houses being painted grey-blue with the area to the northwest of the town being known as Blue Town however since that time these houses have been destroyed by fire in the 1820s. The docklands were once a base for the Royal Navy but this ceased in 1960 with the Blue Town area today now an industrial area and the port still a working deepwater port.
There are some delightful historic buildings in the town with many of them being Listed buildings such as the former Pay Office in Anchor Street which was built in 1828, Archway House in Archway Road which today is offices but was sawyers' and carpenters' shop and stores and The Royal Fountain Hotel in West Street which is 18 th century and today has been converted into flats.
Over the years we have often carried out structural building surveys in the town and note some of the surrounding villages such as Minster on Sea, Eastchurch and Leysdown on Sea have some stunning detached residences.

Being 'independent' means that they are working for you and you alone; they do not work for a mortgage company or an estate agents, so they have your best interests at heart.
All our survey contain lots of images, clearly showing any problems that we have identified at the property such as woodworm, rising damp or cracking to the walls. We also use sketches in our survey which are aimed at helping you to understand how certain areas are constructed or to help show more clearly a problem that we have identified. You will also find lots of definitions of any building terminology that we may use in our survey, as we firmly believe in 'Plain English' and really want you to fully understand what we are saying in the survey report.
