1st Associated Surveyors go into a lot of detail in their building survey reports. The Survey report is written with a lay person in mind and we aim for it to be written in such a way that you will have no trouble understanding the survey and terminology. We give definitions, we use photographic evidence and we use sketches to make the survey easy to understand. If we find any problems with the property we are surveying on your behalf then we report it to you in a clear way and give you ideas on how to resolve the issue and an idea of the costs to put the problem right.

St Ives

We carry out residential structural surveys and commercial surveys in St Ives. St Ives is a town which is situated in Cambridgeshire.

St Ives is a market town, situated 15 miles North-West of Cambridge.

St Ives was once known as Slepe but changed its name after the body of Saint Ivo, a bishop from Persia, was found buried in the town.

The vast Great Ouse river runs through St Ives. The 15th Century bridge is Grade I listed and unusually houses a chapel, a mecca for visitors to the town.

We are always keen to survey Listed Buildings, as we find them of particular interest and enjoy the history that surrounds them. That said we are are always keen to survey any era of property and St Ives has a very good selection of properties from all eras.

As Independent Chartered Surveyors we can help you with a quick sale of the property you wish to buy in St Ives or the surrounding district, as you can view and download your survey on-line from our website very quickly once it has been completed. We aim to complete the survey within 3-5 working days. We will send you a unique password so that you and your property solicitor can access the survey and then we will also post a bound copy of your survey to you in the post.

As you will see from our example surveys below our surveys are detailed documents, which are written in plain English with lots of explanations of building terms and including sketches and digital photos. We write the survey in a way to enable you to understand the problem and how to resolve it. We always give an 'Action Required' for any issues raised and also give you an idea of the Anticipated Costs involved in sorting out any problems we find.
