We carry out residential structural survey and commercial survey in Worthing. Worthing is a town which is situated in West Sussex.
Worthing is an area we like and does tend to grow on you. One of my friends who left many, many years ago still talks about walking down the seafront and later on in life cruising down the seafront. When you think of Worthing you often think of it being for the retired however there is a mixture of people and facilities and often it is unfairly portrayed as a place only for retired and the grey market (one website quoted it was The place to retire to in the 1970's and 1980's), whilst there are such things as the Bowls Club and nearby Weymouth Sailing Club you can take a walk along the seafront and back a few streets to see the mix and range of people and buildings that are in Worthing.
Like many seaside resorts Worthing 's major development took place during the 18th century when the medical professions were recommending sea water as a cure for almost everything!
There is an airport at Shoreham and although we have never seen it, it has an Art Deco terminal.
On the architecture side, symmetry of Heene Terrace built in the 1860's, Park Crescent built in the late 1820's and Liverpool Terrace with semi-circular fronted bays built in the 1830's which are all splendid Regency buildings. The Dome with its Art Deco look was built in 1911 and is one of our favourite buildings and would be great to have the chance to survey.
Worthing is easy to find on the south coast with Bognor Regis and Littlehampton to the west and Hove and Brighton to the east and not to far south from the busy M23 motorway it is a great place to visit which we often do whilst carrying out both residential and commercial building surveys.
Affluent areas for larger properties include High Salvington and Southey Rd . Many of the buildings have been constructed using local materials such as natural flint, brick quoins and plain clay tile roofs.
If you are planning to book a building survey on a property you are purchasing in Worthing or the surrounding area then we would like to assure you that we always send a suitably qualified and experienced surveyor to carry out the job. This ensures that you get expert advice on any issues that we may find with the property we are surveying. All our surveyors are members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors - RICS - and are Independent Building Surveyors. Being 'independent' means that they are working for you and you alone; they do not work for a mortgage company or an estate agents, so they have your best interests at heart.
All our survey contain lots of images, clearly showing any problems that we have identified at the property such as woodworm, rising damp or cracking to the walls. We also use sketches in our survey which are aimed at helping you to understand how certain areas are constructed or to help show more clearly a problem that we have identified. You will also find lots of definitions of any building terminology that we may use in our survey, as we firmly believe in 'Plain English' and really want you to fully understand what we are saying in the survey report.
