Estate agents sometimes have a bad reputation.  However they are often very good at what they do and so good you don't notice they are doing it.

Estate agents sell houses and they work for the house seller (often known as the vendor).  They are very skilled at selling houses and they usually give the impression that they are working for you.  They usually operate on a commission, therefore you should appreciate they have to sell to make a living.
