Gloucester Building survey, Gloucester House survey, Property defect survey, Building disputes survey,
Gloucestershire is located to the South West of England, in an area known as the Cotswolds.
The limestone in the northern Cotswolds is a rich honey coloured brown which becomes a creamier colour as you go further south. Tewkesbury is one of the rare places in the UK where blue liars is one of the main building stones. Unfortunately in our experience although blue liars is very popular it can deteriorate badly. You can spot it on many of the buildings with its dark blue colour and its form of clay. Tewkesbury was once a valley and can be reached via the A438.
Just down the road is Cheltenham about 8 miles away and Gloucester about 12 miles away, don't forget to have a look at Tewkesbury Abbey while you are there.
Historic ports of Gloucester and Regency Cheltenham, known obviously for its Regency buildings.
Stroud isn't too far away and Bristol and Cirencester.
Seven Bore - Avonmouth to Minsterworth
Avonmonth is the starting point for the spectacular natural phenomena The Severn Bore in the River Severn. At Avonmouth the width is about 5 miles wide, when the river gets to Minsterworth it narrows to less than a hundred yards across and stays at this width till it reaches Gloucester . A funnel shape is formed which results in the surge wave which can reach as high as 50 feet. There are around 60 bores which occur throughout the world, the Severn Bore being one of the biggest.
